Animal crossing offers a fun feature of being able to take photos with a limited range of options. However with some clever tricks you can take some pretty cool pictures.

The first trick is using the camera angles. You are given three angles – close, medium and top view. Typically a player would wait until the camera is done moving and then take the photo. If you are quick enough you can take a photo while the camera is moving positions to get interested, unique angles.

Another trick is to use the mailbox. These mailbox photos give another unique angle 3/4ths angle that you cannot achieve using the camera tool. This trick does involve some photo editing. You will want to place the mailbox close enough to the area that you would like to photograph without covering the focus of the picture, once you open the mailbox the camera angle will start to shift, similar to the last trick you will want to take the photo before or after the mailbox dialog opens. This may take a couple of tries to get down.

The third trick is using Reactions to get interesting poses. In the featured image for this post I used the Smell Flowers reaction, waited until the end of the reaction and then snapped the picture. My character looks like she is just enjoying the nice, pouring rain.
